Using Respondus to create Canvas quizzes and exams from Word files

Respondus is a software application used to create quizzes/exams, self-tests, and surveys that can be published directly into Canvas. You can convert Word documents into Canvas quizzes (including quizzes with images) using Respondus. The steps are:
  1. Format your Word quizzes for Respondus (download the respondus_exam_format.pdf from the bottom of this article.
  2. Download and install Respondus for Windows*
  3. Use Respondus to upload your Word quizzes directly to your Canvas class.
These steps are demonstrated in the following video playlist:

*(Even though Respondus is native to Windows, faculty using Macs can run Respondus using Bootcamp. or virtualization software (e.g., VMware or Parallels). Faculty using Macs can also create a Respondus formatted file in Word and send the file to eLearning for uploading to their course. Submit an eLearning Ticket and email elearning@seminolestate.edu.)
