Adding the Recording tab to PowerPoint

Please note: The most recent version of PowerPoint allows you to record from the SlideShow tab as well.

To record in PowerPoint, we recommend using the PowerPoint Recording tab.
If you do not see the Recording tab in PowerPoint, then you will need to add it. To add the Recording tab to PowerPoint,


Click File.


Click Options. The PowerPoint Options window will appear.


Click Customize Ribbon [1].
Check Recording [2].
Click OK [3]. The Recording tab will now appear in ribbon section.

Adding the Recording tab on a computer managed by Seminole State

If you do not see the Recording option, then please contact the CTS helpdesk and request an updated version of PowerPoint that will allow you to record.

Adding the Recording tab on a personal computer

If you do not see the Recording option, then you can download Microsoft Office, which includes PowerPoint, for free from your Seminole State email. Sign in to https://www.office.com and click Install Office Apps.
