Importing a Zoom Meeting link into the Zoom in Canvas tool

Importing a Zoom Meeting link into the Zoom in Canvas tool

If you created a Zoom Meeting (single, scheduled, or recurring) on the web at https://seminolestate.zoom.us, instead of creating it with the Zoom-in-Canvas tool, you can import the Zoom Meeting ID into the Zoom in Canvas tool so the Zoom Meeting link appears inside Canvas.

Please note, a Zoom Meeting ID can only be associated with one class section in Canvas. If the Zoom Meeting is going to be shared across multiple class sections, copy and paste the Zoom link from https://seminolestate.zoom.us into each class (in either a module page or an announcement).

Enable Zoom in Canvas

If the Zoom-in-Canvas tool is not enabled in the course navigation, enable the tool. Detailed instructions can be found at Enabling Zoom in Canvas.

Click Zoom in the Canvas course navigation.

Click the menu button [1] and select Import meeting [2].

Enter the desired Zoom Meeting ID and click Insert.
Your Zoom meeting is now associated with your Canvas course and is visible in the Zoom-Canvas tool in the course.

Disassociating a Zoom Meeting ID from a Canvas course

If entered the incorrect Zoom Meeting ID or want to disassociate a Zoom Meeting ID from a Canvas course, detailed instructions can be found at Disassociate a Zoom meeting from a Canvas course.
